David Scheible



Graphic Packaging Holding Company

Mr. Scheible is Chairman of Graphic Packaging Holding Company, (NYSE: GPK), a $4.6 billion company headquartered in Atlanta, GA.  He held the position of Chief Executive Officer of Graphic Packaging International, Inc. from 2007 to 2015.  Graphic Packaging is the world’s largest manufacturer of paper-based folding cartons for the consumer food and beverage markets supporting global brands like AB-InBev, Coca-Cola, General Mills, Kellogg, Kraft, MillerCoors, Nestle, PepsiCo., and many more. They have over 12,500 employees globally and make 2.5M tons of paper in 7 North American paperboard mills, operate 45 converting plants and numerous sales and distribution centers in over 20 countries.

Mr. Scheible has held numerous executive leadership roles in the Company, including President and Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of Commercial Operations.  Mr. Scheible was previously affiliated with the Avery Dennison Corporation in a variety of global operating roles spanning a 13-year career.  

He was recently named the 2015 North American CEO of the Year by RISI, the leading information provider for the global forest products industry. The award was presented to Mr. Scheible at the 30th Annual RISI North American Conference.  Mr. Scheible was also named Executive Papermaker of the Year by PaperAge magazine. This award is based on corporate vision, strategic objectives and strong leadership both within the executive’s company and in the paper industry as a whole.

Mr. Scheible serves on the Board of Directors of Benchmark Electronics, Inc. (NYSE: BHE), a provider of integrated electronics manufacturing, design and engineering services, and on the board of Flint Industries, a global manufacturer of printing ink and supplies.  He serves on the Board of Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Newnan, GA and the Metro Area Chamber of Commerce where he was chair of the education committee.  He is a past Chairman of the American Forest and Paper Association (AF&PA).  He was a 2013 regional winner of the EY Entrepreneur of the Year in the Retail and Consumer Products category.

Mr. Scheible holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Purdue University and a Master of Science in Industrial Administration from the Krannert School of Business at Purdue University.  He and his wife live in the Atlanta area.
