China's new coated woodfree paper capacity - where will the shipments go?

By Sandy Lu Fri, Sep 10, 2010

SHANGHAI, Sept. 10, 2010 (RISI) -APP Jinhai's PM2 and Oji Nantong's PM1 both kicked off trial production in May 2010, with a combined capacity of approximately 1.6 million tonnes of coated paper. Market sentiment is that China's domestic market will quickly become unbalanced after those new machines start up and Chinese producers will look to offload more volume to export markets to reduce overcapacity in the home market. This sentiment has caused big worries with global producers.
