Senior Vice President, Global Pulp & Wood
Andrea Borgards graduated from the University of Hamburg (Germany) with a PhD degree in wood science and technology in 1996. She started her career as research project manager for the Lenzing Group, an international company that produces high-quality fibers for a wide range of textile, nonwoven and industrial applications.
After a series of technical and strategic roles with growing responsibility Andrea was appointed Vice President of Global Research & Development in 2015. She has a track record of various patents, realizing new technologies and turning sustainable solutions into economic success.
Andrea went on to become Senior Vice President of Global Pulp & Wood for the Lenzing Group in 2018, being responsible for 2 sulfite pulp mills in Austria and the Czech Republic as well as for additional market pulp procurement for Lenzing’s fiber sites.
