Edwin Goffard heads up the Corrugated division of Smurfit Kappa Europe. He has experience in a variety of industries across both large corporate environments and mid-sized companies spanning Europe, the Americas and the Middle East.
He started his career spending six years working for McKinsey & Co in Germany and the US, before moving on to PepsiCo. He then joined Smurfit Stone nearly 20 years ago as VP and Corporate Officer of merger integration. In 2000, he was appointed CEO of Smurfit Stone's operations in Germany and subsequently became CEO of Smurfit Kappa Germany.
In 2012 he was appointed CEO of Britton Group, a PE owned Europe based flexible packaging company. He returned to Smurfit Kappa as CEO of Smurfit Kappa Mexico in 2016, before assuming his current role as COO Corrugated and Converting SK Europe in 2017. Married with 4 children, he currently lives in Amsterdam.
Smurfit Kappa, a FTSE 100 company, has around 46,000 employees in approximately 370 production sites across 35 countries and with revenue of €8.6 billion in 2017.
