Greg Rudder is lead editor for PPI Pulp & Paper Week. He has covered US and export recovered paper for 20 years, containerboard for seven years, tissue for seven years, uncoated freesheet and specialty printing and writing papers for four years, and newsprint for three years. A Pepperdine University graduate, he was a daily newspaper reporter for 12 years before joining PPI Pulp & Paper Week. He has interviewed more than 40 CEOs, and visited more than 35 mills and plants globally.

  • Packaging design for the global business especially centered on US and European business: For end-users, do you want any sort of change in boxes in terms of how they are designed for your business. Smaller boxes? Lightweight fiber? Please advise.
  • Packaging supply chain: What are the changes you think are needed to the supply chain, amidst how the pandemic changed packaging demand and the supply chain especially in Europe and the USA
  • For boxmakers, how must they change structurally in the next several years: More digital printing and customization, better speed-to-market, please advise. Develop fulfillment centers as part of their corrugated box plants?
