During Greg’s senior year at the University of Southern California in 1981 he worked in Bay Cities’ Design department as a sample maker learning the basic craft of design for the corrugated packaging industry. He fast tracked through every department in the company and soon after went into sales. After selling for 14 years Greg became the President of Bay Cities at 35 years of age in 1995. Soon after, he helped start a sheet feeder LA Corr in 1999 and went on to grow Bay Cities into a very well respected graphic and display company. While keeping its roots in the industrial packaging business Bay Cities is now a leader in graphic packaging, point of purchase displays, packout and fulfillment, digital printing, permanent displays, e-commerce and digital experience applications. Bay Cities has six locations ranging from a fulfillment joint venture in the Chicagoland area to a design, sales and logistic center in Bentonville Arkansas serving the many suppliers to Wal Mart. Bay Cities is a partner in another sheet feeder ENCORR located 200 yards from the Ontario, California New Indy paper mill that shares its energy with ENCORR and trims out the 260 inch paper machine with the 132 inch corrugator.
Bay Cities is a 100% employee owned company that has been on a very strong growth path since becoming 100% employee owned in 2014. Greg is now the Chairman and CEO of Bay Cities. He serves on the Association of Independent Corrugated Convertors, The Fiber Box Association, and the International Corrugated Packaging Foundation to note and a few other for profit and non-profit boards. One of Greg’s biggest passions is education. He has worked with California Polytechnic University San Luis Obispo for over 20 years in quest of building the nation’s foremost School of Packaging on the west coast.
