Lloyd Scott

Lloyd Scott is a Professor of Sustainable Construction Technologies and Head of the Knowledge in Sustainable Construction Research Group at the Technological University Dublin. He is a Vice Chairman of the Board of the Association of Researchers in Construction Management. Lloyd was Assistant Head of the School of Construction at DIT from 2010 to 2014 and is the Chair of the Sustainable Environmental Engineering in Design for Society (SEEDS) Conference 2018 - 2020. Before joining DIT he spent many years in the AEC in a supervisory capacity in a medium sized contracting practice having complete a Carpentry and Joinery apprenticeship. Lloyd holds a Master of Arts in Management from Waterford Institute of Technology and has specialized in Sustainable Construction while a Visiting Professor of Practice at the College of Architecture, Oklahoma University, USA. Lloyd's research focuses on building performance, mass timber construction and knowledge and expertise in the AEC.

Lloyd's mantra as an educator is 'to create significant learning experiences for those students he has the pleasure of engaging with'.
