Senior Researcher

Livio Ribeiro is senior researcher at FGV/IBRE (Getulio Vargas Foundation / Brazilian Institute of Economics), being responsible for the macroeconomic coverage of China, Argentina and Brazil's external sector. Meanwhile, Livio is a partner at BRCG, being a consultant on macroeconomics, public policies and tobacconomics for several institutions, both in Brazil and abroad.
Previously, Livio was a consultant for the United Nations Development Program, for the Red Sudamericana de Economía Aplicada (RedSur), Economics chief-of-staff at the Federation of Industries of Rio de Janeiro (FIRJAN), associate researcher at FGV/IBRE and held several positions on financial institutions, covering Brazil, China and commodity-exporters in Latin America, Africa and Oceania.
Livio is M.A. and B.A. at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio), with publications on external trade, international economics, public finance, China-Brazil relations and tobacconomics.
