Liybov has over 15 years of experience in the maritime industry with the last 12 spent in biomass trade, working closely with woodchip and woodpellet customers. She is currently a chartering manager at NYK New York handling the chartering of woodchip vessels as well as handy/supra and panamax size ships. Besides her career at NYK, for several years Liybov taught at the New York Maritime Academy as an Adjunct Professor; the same university from which she graduated with a Bachelors and a Masters Degree.

NYK is currently having a new type of woodchip carrier being built which will significantly increase fuel efficiency and will comply with the new SOx (sulfur oxide) emission regulations. This presentation will discuss some of the new design features and advantages of its new "eco-friendly woodchip carrier".
