As a founding member of RISI with over 30 years' experience in the industry, Rod is an internationally recognized expert. Rod's most prominent role is the evaluation of all RISI economic reports and business developments. In March 2005, he became President and CEO of Paperloop, which was renamed RISI in 2006. Since stepping down as RISI's CEO he has remained an active contributor to RISI’s forecasts and was named Chairman in 2007. Rod received a Master of Science degree in Forestry Economics from Virginia Polytechnical Institute in 1977 and also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Forestry from Michigan State University.
